Office 2007 activation workaround

So Bgnn works for the Great Devil - all good. Bgnn, I'm "that upset over it" because Microsoft isn't stupid - evil, but not stupid. They did this purposefully and for the sole intent of annoying users so that they'd do exactly what you're pushing: buy a more expensive version.

Is that a right thing to do? Yes, I know Bgnn - "of course it is! So I paid good money that I don't have to be able to use Excel and Word, and I currently have 4 Excel documents open at the same time. Wouldn't you just know it - they all have the same name! Which is good, because I was bored anyway working with so many documents, and having 4 documents with the same name in my taskbar made an excellent point-and-click game for me to play to get the mental anguish - er, juices flowing.

So the fix - thank you!!!!! But not so fast. Those little angels in Washington state obviously tied the "Recent Documents" lists to the same type of permissions required for the oh-so-special banner.

You be the judge A retail license for Office Home and Student allows for installation on three devices. That includes reinstalling Office after you've formatted your hard drive. It will not install if you exceed the limit. Fortunately, you can contact Microsoft for another product key.

They'll provide you with a new one as long as your old one is legitimate. You should have checked your educational institute web site to see if they are a qualifying institution.

Activation takes account of your hardware and other configurations and checks the genuine advantage with that. So you can install it, format install it, format a trillion times and use the same key as long as it's on the same 3 pc's.

If you have problems with activation, phone Microsoft activation free phone number and activate via the telephone. From what I understand, you can activate Office an unlimited amount of times, however, you need to wait a while for a prior activation to "be forgotten" by the system before you can do it again.

Why on earth do you format every two months anyway? Take better care of your computer. It is there because the version you have is for non-commercial use. Why does it even bother you that it is there? You aren't using it for commercial uses are you? This isn't a hard legal concept to understand. Search In. Share More sharing options Followers 0.

Andy Posted February 20, Posted February 20, edited. I'm new to this whole thing - thanks! Edited February 20, by Andy Thanks for the responses. Fascinating journey, this. Re my analogy of owning a car being wrong. I think not. When purchasing "The Cornerstone of the Microsoft Office System" their promo I did not only purchase a shiny plastic computer disk -- I purchased the use of the program on that disk -- for however long I choose to do so.

MS's non-reactivation prohibits me from that use. As you said: Now then on to the issue find the Microsoft support phone number for the product and talk to them over the phone, they should be able to give you a working code. Did make that call to BanglaIndia and was informed by the rep that "because is an old program that MS no longer supports" he "would have to get into my computer" -- should I be willing to pay for him to do that -- and "solve the problem. He also pointed out that my continued use of the soon-to-be-discontinued-support Windows XP is unacceptable to MS and that I should upgrade everything.

Since that's something that I have not need to or interest in doing, guess I'll just keep truckin' on 'til "the old car dies someday What do you mean by "product ID on the CD sleeve"? So, for all intents and purposes, "phone support" is nonexistent. Thanks anyway. You can always find and install the or versions which don't muck around with activation codes the same way.

But you will be at the mercy of whomever is giving you files to make sure that they are encoded in such a way you can read and use them. Understand your like of WP. Have 5 and 6 DOS versions ready whenever I need them although I mostly work with "open office", forced to upgrade from 3 to 4 recently to be able to get at "office " files.

Ed Fair Give the wrong symptoms, get the wrong solutions. Yes, you purchased the rights to use the software, but unlike a car, which you can do whatever you want with it, tear it apart, and sell off parts, replace the engine and tires, you can not do that with software. You don't own the software, in this case, Microsoft does, and you are bound by the user agreement you agreed to when you purchased the right to use the software.

You can not change the software, reverse engineer it, supersede the digital rights, break it down to little modules, and sell them off. You could rent out the car, you can not rent out the use of the software. See where this is going? You don't own the software. Like I said, read the eula. You did not purchase the ability to use the software forever, you get to use it for as long as Microsoft says you can.

Thanks to the others of you who were helpful in your comments. Nor can you sell it or give it to a third party. Office has not yet reached end-of-life, and is still officially and formally supported mind you, as with XP, that all stops in April I have Office Enterprise and the keygen you mention.

On my desktop I already have Office installed using the keygen. It gave me the "Non Genuine" message when I started any Office app. I also tried another. Both seem to work but I don't know what they have done to my machine so would rather use your method. Nothing has been added to my Hosts file by either crack incidentally.

Please can yougive me instructions on how to change the key of Office ? Are there any other modifications I need to do? Thanks again for your time. I forgot to say that I am in the process of reinstalling everything from afresh on my laptop so in this instance I will be making a clean install of office Do I follow the same procedure? Oct 30, 81 2 0. When you recovered the PC to factory condition did that include a preinstalled Office trial that you then failed to first uninstall before installing your version?

And then what error msg is returned when you use on-line activation? If the msg is on the lines of too many activations, then use phone activation but do not respond to any prompts until given the option to speak to a real person, then explain you are reinstalling on the original PC.

When I first restored to factory condition, there was a preinstalled Office which asked for the Product Key. I inserted the key found on the Office pack but system said it is the wrong key. The Office pack that came with the laptop was still sealed. I uninstalled Office and reinstalled from the Office pack, using the Product Key. That was successful but I am unable to activate it, either via Internet or telephone. Message was Activation failed and connect me to Microsoft personnel.

All I am trying to do is to reinstall Office which I have already paid the price in full back onto the same laptop it was originally installed in.
